Job summary

Oliver & Bonacini in Toronto is hiring Server Assistants to support Front of House, ensuring a clean, organized dining environment and helping Servers deliver seamless service. You will contribute to a welcoming guest experience in a fast-paced setting.

You’ll work daytime and evenings with gratuities, 50% dining discount for you and up to three guests, and access to internal career opportunities within Canada’s leading hospitality company.

Qualifications

• Smart Serve Certification required.
• Exceptional attention to detail and cleanliness standards.
• Ability to remain calm and composed under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Clear and professional oral communication skills.
• Flexible availability from daytime to evenings, weekends and holidays.
• This position requires daytime and evenings availabilities.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada.

Responsibilities

• Answer questions about food, beverages, wine and other restaurant functions and services when necessary
• Assist with food running, ensuring that plates arrive to the proper guest (no auctioning off)
• Monitor the cleanliness of section and ensure all materials and areas are clean and free from clutter
• Communicate with Servers and Hosts to maximize seating
• Practice a high level of floor awareness and clear/clean as required
• Ensure that condiments are pre-portioned and the fridges are stocked with milk, cream, butter etc.
• Monitor food quality and presentation standards
• Follow all food safety standards and systems
• Empty garbage, change linen bags and dispose of garbage and recycling
• Communicate to all Servers any comments or information provided by guests to ensure a positive, memorable experience
• Other duties as assigned or required
