Job summary

Aspira Red Oak Retirement Living in Ottawa is seeking a Guest Attendant/UCP to support residents with daily living and wellness activities. You will build trusting relationships with residents and their families, providing compassionate care in a warm, home-like setting.

You will assist with meals, personal care, mobility, and daily routines while contributing to a respectful atmosphere and engaging activities to enhance residents’ well-being.

Qualifications

• Grade 12 minimum education required.
• Safe Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
• Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
• Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
• Sienna may utilize artificial intelligence to screen or assess applicants.

Responsibilities

• You will form a deep understanding of residents and their living experience and build relationships with residents and their families.
• Offer a variety of support options and program choices that enrich daily health and well-being.
• Assist with transporting residents to and from rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required.
• Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care.
• Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments.

As aGuest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. What you need to know:
