Job summary

Aspira Red Oak Retirement Living, operated by Sienna Senior Living, is seeking a Guest Attendant/UCP to support residents in daily living and personal care. This role emphasizes building relationships and delivering compassionate service in a respectful, home-like environment.

You will assist with activities of daily living, respond to call bells, transport residents, and help with meals and comfort. Minimum Grade 12; Canada work eligibility and a Vulnerable Sector Check required.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 minimum education required.
  • Safe Serve designation and one year experience in dining room service.
  • Legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit.
  • Must pass a Vulnerable Sector Check.
  • Sienna may utilize artificial intelligence to screen applicants.

Responsibilities

  • Provide support to residents and build relationships to enrich daily health and well-being.
  • Assist with activities of daily living including eating, dressing, hygiene and grooming.
  • Answer resident call bells and door alarms promptly.
  • Transport residents to and from rooms, activities, health office and dining room.
  • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; oral and dental care.
  • Complete laundry and housekeeping duties as assigned.

As aGuest Attendant, you’ll form a deep understanding of your residents and their living experience. You will build relationships with the residents and their family members, offering a variety of support options and program choices that enrich their daily health and well-being. As an individual and part of a wider team, you will be a strong contributor to the culture of the home, where the focus is always on helping residents live fully, every day.

  • Assist with transporting residents to and from their rooms, recreational activities, health office and dining room as required
  • Provide ongoing cognitive, social, emotional, and spiritual support; as well as oral and dental care
  • Completing laundry and housekeeping duties as outlined by assignments
What you need to know:
  • Grade 12 minimum education required
  • You have ‘Safe Serve’ designation and one year experience in dining room service
  • You must be legally eligible to work in Canada or have a valid work/study permit
  • You must successfully pass a Vulnerable Sector Check
  • Sienna Senior Living may utilize artificial Intelligence to screen or assess applicants for this position
