Group Account Director - Job Description

The Group Account Director will be responsible for the following:
Business Leadership & Partnership
- Serve as the senior point of contact for key clients, fostering deep, strategic relationships.
- Develop a deep understanding of our client’s businesses in order to lead the agency through solving the right problems and identifying growth opportunities.
- Provide thought leadership that’s built on a strong understanding of 4Cs relevant to each client.
- Oversee the project intake process to ensure the agency is effectively set up to solve clear problems and/or opportunities with proper casting, timelines, deliverables and budget in place.
Organic & New Business Growth
- Identify and pursue growth opportunities within existing accounts, expanding services and capabilities.
- Collaborate with strategy, creative, production and operations teams to shape and pitch new ideas that drive growth, via organic and new business.
- Contribute to new business pitches taking on a key role in developing relationships that demonstrate our approach to radical collaboration.
- Help define and activate strategic plans that unlock long-term client value.
- Finance & Operations Management
- Own financial oversight for accounts including forecasting, scoping, ongoing cost management and reconciliations.
- Build annual business plans, including revenue targets and growth strategies for clients within your portfolio.
- Lead project SOW development, ensuring client’s budget adequately reflects the deliverables, proactively identifying scope creep, addressing internally and with clients.
- Manage monthly staff expenses against revenue to ensure your team is adequately resourced against deliverables and delivering against profitability targets provided to you.
- Oversee the project intake process, ensuring the account and PM team is capturing the correct information from clients that enables proper resourcing and execution of a project.
- Drive process improvements that enhance team efficiency and project delivery.
- Model and foster a culture of creativity, inclusivity, curiosity, and integrity.
- Lead and inspire an account and PM team, fostering a culture of collaboration, growth, and ownership.
- Mentor talent to help build the next generation of agency leaders.
- Conduct regular and ongoing feedback and career development conversations, understanding everyone has unique skills and career paths.
- Be a voice in shaping internal initiatives that make the agency a coveted place to work.
- Bring an audacious spirit that inspires teams and clients to think big.
- Partner closely with strategy and creative leadership, leading the agency process from start to finish, ensuring the right people are in the right places at the right times.
- Champion work that pushes boundaries and reflects the spirit of our brand.
- Advocate for bold, impactful creative that solves real business problems.
- Obsess over our craft from strategy to launch, ongoing problem solving to ensure we’re never compromising on product.
- Keep a pulse on industry trends and ensure the agency’s work stays ahead of the curve.
