About the Role

Our Group Account Directors bring value to our clients through their exceptional modern marketing skills. They are strategic partners with great hunting instincts, knowing when to bring in capabilities to meet client needs and close deals. They typically manage one large or multiple smaller integrated regional/global accounts. They possess C-Suite gravitas and are valued by our most senior clients for their partnership and strategic guidance. They are agency hunters and team builders who drive client business results and our agency share of wallet. They act as advocates and champions of the Ogilvy brand to clients, employees, and candidates. They are exceptional team leaders who inspire others to act courageously.

What You'll Do
  • Manage large regional integrated client portfolios.
  • Nurture and grow key senior client relationships as a trusted advisor and advocate for the client organization.
  • Constantly hunt for organic new business growth.
  • Drive all aspects of client service, including strategy, program development, and execution, leading growth in their practice area.
  • Lead client thinking on strategy development and provide targeted, actionable insights.
  • Utilize all agency capabilities to produce exceptional results for clients.
  • Manage client P&L, business growth, and operating margins.
  • Monitor client satisfaction metrics and performance measures.
  • Generate ideas and actions that produce tangible business results.
  • Initiate thought leadership projects to enhance reputation and add value to clients’ businesses.
  • Ensure resources are available to deliver and drive client growth, maximizing performance and productivity.
  • Manage integrated agency teams, inspiring and motivating across departments and capabilities.
  • Attract and retain talent, developing team effectiveness and satisfaction.
  • Work with HR on career conversations and goal setting.
  • Cultivate diversity and inclusion within the team and agency.
What You'll Need
  • 11+ years of experience, including 7+ years in supervisory roles.
  • Digitally fluent with understanding of the complex media landscape.
  • Strong business and financial acumen.
  • Ability to ensure creative excellence and output.
  • Strong networker of internal and external talent.
  • Passionate about work, team, and business.
  • Curious and early adopter.
  • Good listener, adaptable in style and response.
  • Strong leadership and management skills, providing ongoing feedback and training.
  • Experience in financial services marketing.
  • Fluency in English and French is an asset.
