Job summary

SLR Consulting (Canada) Ltd is seeking a Modelling Hydrogeologist to join our growing Hydrogeology team in Canada. You will execute hydrogeological models and develop technical scopes of work, contributing to client deliverables and project success.

The role emphasizes collaborative work with multidisciplinary teams, proposal development, and mentoring junior staff, with a flexible hybrid work arrangement and competitive compensation.

Qualifications

• Undergraduate degree in earth sciences; Master’s degree strongly preferred.
• 3-7 years of hydrogeology experience in environmental services or mining.
• Experience with MODFLOW and building groundwater models.
• Familiarity with Leapfrog, Groundwater Vistas, FEFLOW, Python, Aqtesolv, and Surfer is a plus.
• Knowledge of environmental site assessment, site remediation and hydrogeology.

Responsibilities

• Create conceptual site models (CSMs) to analyze and interpret hydrogeological information
• Construct, calibrate, and operate 3D numerical groundwater models
• Prepare hydrogeological technical reports for submission to clients and regulators
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to integrate hydrogeological findings with other disciplines
• Support project delivery with health & safety, scope, schedule, budget, QA/QC, and client satisfaction
• Occasional field work and oversight of information collection by junior scientists/hydrogeologists
• Prepare proposals and assist in business development plans
• Liaise with clients to ensure excellent service delivery
• Mentor junior staff and participate in training opportunities
