Job summary
SLR Consulting (Canada) is hiring a Senior Groundwater Modeler to lead and mentor a team on hydrogeological projects across Canada and abroad. You’ll develop and refine groundwater flow and contaminant transport models, review data, and contribute to 3D conceptual modeling with established software.
The role involves collaboration with senior hydrogeologists, travel to project sites in Canada and internationally, and a hybrid work arrangement.
Qualifications
- MSc or PhD in Hydrogeology or related discipline.
- Registered as a P.Geo or P.Eng with Engineers and Geoscientists.
- Minimum of 15 years of experience in groundwater flow and contaminant transport modeling using numerical modelling (finite difference and/or finite element).
- Experience with 3D hydrogeological conceptual models using Surfer, Leapfrog and EVS; Python/FloPy or FORTRAN scripting.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with the SLR team on hydrogeological projects in Canada, Australia and South America.
- Develop and refine groundwater flow and contaminant transport models.
- Review and interpret groundwater-related data for conceptual and numerical models.
- Develop 3D hydrogeological conceptual models using designated software and scripts.
