Job summary

CRMR is a family-owned Canadian hospitality company operating lodges across the Canadian Rockies. The Grounds Labourer will maintain lodge grounds to the highest standards, keeping sidewalks clear of ice, removing icicles, and assisting in snow removal.

The role supports guest satisfaction and safety, with opportunities for growth across properties. Responsibilities include grounds cleanliness, wood handling, equipment checks, and flexibility to work varied shifts in extreme weather.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 6 months of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as shoveling and climbing ladders.
• Experience in maintenance labor is beneficial.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including extreme weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Keep sidewalks, roads, stair areas, patios, and balconies clear of ice and snow.
• Remove icicles from roofs and windows.
• Assist in snow removal using hand tools, heavy equipment, and clearing snow from roofs.
• Maintain cleanliness of lodge grounds, including litter pickup and waste management.
• Handle and manage wood supplies, including piling, stacking, and delivery.
• Check and maintain equipment daily.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts depending on weather conditions.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks in staff accommodation areas if needed.
• Operate heavy equipment for grounds maintenance (experience is an asset).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
