Job summary

Canadian Rocky Mountain Resorts (CRMR) is seeking a Grounds Labourer to maintain lodge grounds to the highest standards and support guest satisfaction in a mountain resort setting in Banff. The role involves winter and summer outdoor tasks, ensuring safety and cleanliness across our properties.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• At least 6 months of experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Physical ability to perform tasks such as shoveling and climbing ladders.
• Ability to work flexible shifts, including extreme weather conditions.
• Experience in maintenance labor is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Keep sidewalks, roads, stair areas, patios, and balconies clear of ice and snow.
• Remove icicles from roofs and windows.
• Assist in snow removal using hand tools, heavy equipment, and clearing snow from roofs.
• Maintain cleanliness of lodge grounds, including litter pickup and waste management.
• Handle and manage wood supplies, including piling, stacking, and delivery.
• Check and maintain equipment daily.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts depending on weather conditions.
• Assist with general maintenance tasks in staff accommodation areas if needed.
• Operate heavy equipment for grounds maintenance (experience is an asset).
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
