Job summary

Executive Aviation in Kelowna is hiring Ground Handlers for our Kelowna International Airport (YLW) team. The role reports to a Shift Lead and offers opportunities to travel with discounted flight benefits and progressive wage ranges.

Salary ranges from $19.05–$22.95/hour with comprehensive health benefits for part- and full-time staff, plus benefits tied to airline partnerships. This is a dynamic role supporting top Canadian airlines.

Qualifications

• Flexible to work shifts including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• Able to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kg.
• Willingness to work outside in all weather.
• Must wear safety gear: steel-toe boots, reflective vest, hearing protection.
• Must meet Transport Canada requirements: security screening, background check, valid driver’s license.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures follow Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove waste.
• Groom aircraft—clean cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean drivers abstract
