Job summary

Executive Aviation in Sudbury is hiring part-time Ground Handlers at The Sudbury Airport (YSB) to support operations during evenings and weekends.

You will join a team responsible for ground handling, baggage movement, aircraft servicing, and safety compliance while adapting to flexible shifts and fast-paced schedules.

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work including mornings, days, evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push/pull for extended periods.
• Physical ability to lift up to 70 lbs/32 kg.
• Must wear safety gear: steel toe boots, reflective vest, hearing protection.
• Pass Transport Canada Restricted Area clearance and a criminal background check; valid driver’s license with clean abstract.

Responsibilities

• Follow Transport Canada rules and airline procedures.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshalling aircraft to gate and guiding wings/walkways.
• Sort, load and unload guest baggage per the load plan.
• Deliver baggage to claim and unload onto conveyor system.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories; inspect ramp for debris; keep cabin and galley clean.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid driver’s license with a clean driver abstract
