Job summary

Executive Aviation is hiring Ground Handlers for its Kamloops Below the Wing team at Kamloops Airport (YKA). The role reports to a Shift Lead who supports you. Competitive hourly wages and comprehensive health benefits accompany opportunities to travel at discounted rates with partner airlines.

Responsibilities include following Transport Canada rules, handling baggage, servicing aircraft, and maintaining ramp safety. Flexibility for various shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Must be able to stand, lift up to 70 lbs/32 kgs, and work outdoors.
• Shift work including early mornings, days, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• Wear safety gear: steel-toe boots, reflective vest, and hearing protection.
• Criminal background check and Transport Canada security requirements.
• BC driver’s license with a clear driving record.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed per Transport Canada rules.
• Drive and operate ground service equipment.
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate.
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage per load plan.
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload to conveyor.
• Service aircraft water and lavatories.
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove when found.
• Grooms aircraft – clean cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock supplies.
• Other duties as assigned.

Responsibilities

• Ensure airline procedures are followed in line with the rules and regulations of Transport Canada
• Drive and operate ground service equipment
• Marshall/wing-walk aircraft to gate
• Sort, load and offload guest baggage in accordance with load plan
• Deliver guest baggage to claim area and unload onto conveyor system
• Service aircraft water and lavatories
• Inspect ramp areas for debris and remove/dispose of when found
• Grooms aircraft – clean whole cabin, galleys, lavatories, restock lavatory with supplies
• Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

• Personal flexibility to work shift work which includes early mornings, days, late evenings, weekends and/or holidays
• Must be able to stand, lift, bend, crouch, kneel and push and pull for extended periods of time
• A physical ability to consistently lift up to 70 lbs/32kgs
• Must be willing to work outside in all types of weather
• Must wear safety wear – steel toe boots (green patch), reflective vest, and hearing protection
• An ability to meet all conditions of employment:
  • Restricted Area pass issued by Transport Canada
  • A criminal background check
  • Hold a valid BC driver’s license with a clear drivers abstract
