Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum 12 months of experience in grocery/retail.
• Good knowledge of department operations and skills.
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Ensure a superior customer service experience through coaching staff.
• Supervise the department in the absence of the Department Manager.
• Foster customer loyalty and engagement.
• Keep work area clean and presentable at all times.
• Monitor weekly in-store specials and pricing accuracy.
• Ensure accurate labeling according to pricing strategies.
• Lead the department to meet presentation standards.
• Recruit, train, and develop staff with regular feedback.
• Schedule breaks, back-ups, and departmental activities.
• Open and close the department as required.
• Run and analyze sales data reports.
• Ensure compliance with SOP, OH&S and corporate initiatives.
