Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Grill Cook to perform a variety of food service duties with a primary focus on grill and short order cooking, kitchen support, kitchen cleaning and dishwashing.

You will follow standardized recipes, prepare and portion hot and cold items, maintain cleanliness, and ensure food safety and quality standards are met.

Must have a valid driver's license and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment while representing the company professionally.

Qualifications

• Must have a driver's license.
• Experience with grill and short-order cooking is preferred.
• Knowledge of HACCP, food safety and quality assurance standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with the production of hot and cold food items including short order items and grab-and-go products following standardized recipes and station guidelines.
• Perform prep tasks such as measuring, portioning, chopping, and assembling ingredients.
• Ensure food is prepared and served at proper temperatures and meets quality standards.
• Maintain portion control and minimize food waste.
• Replenish food items and supplies during service as required.
• Follow all HACCP, food safety, and quality assurance procedures, including temperature logs and production records.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of kitchen stations before, during, and after service.
