Job summary

Compass Group Canada is seeking a Grill Cook to support grill and short‑order cooking, kitchen support, dishwashing and cleaning. This role emphasizes following standardized recipes, food safety, proper temperatures, and portion control.

Responsibilities include prep work, maintaining cleanliness, and assisting with customer service. The schedule runs 6am–3pm, Monday to Friday, with occasional early closure Fridays, and a driver’s license may be required for occasional drives.

Qualifications

• Previous short order cooking experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and assist with hot and cold items following recipes and station guidelines.
• Perform prep tasks: measuring, portioning, chopping, assembling ingredients.
• Ensure proper temperatures and quality, maintain portion control and minimize waste.
• Replenish items during service and adhere to HACCP and safety procedures.
• Maintain clean and organized kitchen stations before, during and after service.
• Wash, sanitize, and store dishes; manage kitchen sanitation and waste disposal.
• Take orders, serve meals, and provide friendly customer service.
