Downtown Eastside Women's Centre is seeking a Grants & Impact Specialist to develop, write, and manage grant proposals, contracts, and progress reports to sustain and expand funding. You will ensure compliance with funding agreements and help measure outcomes to demonstrate impact to funders.
The role collaborates with internal teams, applies a feminist lens, and supports strategies to reinforce DEWC's mission and services for women and children in need.
Salary Range: $71,034.60 To $79,224.60 Annually
The Downtown Eastside Women’s Centre (DEWC) exists to support and empower women and children, living in extreme poverty in the Downtown Eastside of Vancouver, who are particularly vulnerable to violence, exploitation, injustice and injury. Through low barrier Drop-In Centers and Emergency Shelters, DEWC provides basic need services, programs, and specialized supports to over 1000 women and children daily to help them survive the conditions that surround them. The Grants & Impact Specialist is responsible for developing, writing, and managing grant proposals, contracts, and reports to sustain and expand DEWC’s funding base. This role ensures compliance with all government and foundation funding agreements, and strengthens DEWC’s ability to measure, communicate, and demonstrate impact to funders and the broader community. Reporting to the Director of Fund Development & Communications, the Specialist works collaboratively with internal teams to gather data, outcomes, and stories that illustrate the transformative work of DEWC. She will work from a feminist perspective and within an anti-oppression framework.
