Job summary

Elegant Stone is seeking an experienced tile installer to work on residential and commercial projects in the Mississauga area. You will prepare surfaces, lay tiles, and finish stone installations with precision.

The role requires 1 year to less than 2 years of experience, a valid driver’s license, and willingness to travel as needed. This is a full-time, on-site position with physical demands and a high attention to detail.

Qualifications

• No formal education required; hands-on trade skills preferred.
• Experience with tile-setting and stone finishing is beneficial.
• Attention to detail and ability to read rough plans

Responsibilities

• Prepare, measure and mark surfaces to be covered.
• Mix, apply and spread mortar, cement, mastic, glue or other adhesives using hand trowel.
• Prepare rough plans and sketches for tiling layouts.
• Set tiles in place and apply pressure to affix them to base.
• Build underbeds and install anchor bolts, wires and brackets.
• Cut, surface, polish and install marble and granite.
• Estimate costs and materials for jobs.
