Job summary

Mountains Edge Construction Ltd. in Calgary is seeking an experienced concrete finisher to join our on-site teams. You will read grade specifications, mix and place concrete, and ensure forms and surfaces meet project requirements.

Ideal candidates have 2–3 years of hands-on experience in residential and commercial settings, work outdoors, and adhere to safety standards. This role is on-site with physically demanding tasks and routine use of hand and power tools.

Qualifications

• No degree, certificate or diploma required.
• 2 years to less than 3 years of experience.
• On-site work at Calgary area.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools
• Install anchor bolts, steel plates, door sills and other fixtures
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces
