Job summary

Eiffel Construction is seeking a skilled Concrete Finisher to join our field crew in the Edmonton area. You will inspect formwork, place concrete, and ensure surfaces meet grade and finish specifications.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years of experience, ability to read blueprints, and proficiency with hand and power tools. This outdoor, physically demanding role involves collaborating with a crew on residential and commercial sites, with attention to safety and quality.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in concrete finishing or formwork.
• Ability to read blueprints/maps/drawings and interpret specifications.

Responsibilities

• Check formwork, granular base and steel reinforcement materials.
• Direct placement of concrete into forms or onto surfaces according to grade.
• Fill hollows and remove spots on freshly poured cement.
• Operate power vibrators to compact concrete.
• Level top surface concrete according to grade and depth specification.
• Impart desired finish to concrete surfaces using hand and power tools.
• Apply hardening and sealing components to cure surfaces.
• Waterproof, damp proof and restore surfaces.
• Repair, resurface and replace worn or damaged sections of concrete structures.
• Estimate costs and materials.
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications.
• Supervise staff or team.
