Job summary

Autism Services in REGINA, Saskatchewan seeks a Grain Trader to maintain and grow key buyer and supplier relationships while managing purchasing and P&L responsibilities.

You will navigate agricultural markets, negotiate contracts, and ensure timely product availability across provinces. Strong knowledge of CGC rules and rail logistics is preferred.

Qualifications

• 5+ years leading in grain purchasing.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience across multiple provinces, sites and projects.
• Ability to develop key accounts and negotiate/communicate effectively with farmers.
• Experienced with CP or CN Rail, CGC rules, EDC policies and CGC grading tables.
• Experience in Agricultural Commodities trading.
• Business financial management acumen; understand cost drivers.
• Strong understanding of position and inventory control.
• Familiar with Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Apps and ERP software.

Responsibilities

• Weekly Purchasing projects
• Establish and implement purchasing strategies based on market needs
• Establish, build, and maintain relationships with all key farmers, brokers and grain dealers/suppliers
• Negotiate pricing, contracts, quality expectations and shipping period
• Review and resolve any discrepancies with invoices, grievances, claims, conflicts, product non-conformance or quality issues
• Provide projections to Leadership Team and key buyers to ensure product availability on a timely basis

We are searching for Grain Trader. This position will be based in Regina Saskatchewan. Purchaser will be responsible for maintaining and enhancing the relationships of existing and new key accounts with growers and brokers. Trader will be accountable for Profit and Loss as per contract. Trader must understand Agricultural sector and global trade needs to create value added solutions for buyers.

Responsibilities:

• Strong working knowledge with Microsoft Cloud, Microsoft Apps, KPI and ERP software required
• Amazing communications and relationship building skills along with the aptitude to influence, share valuable information and assist growers in making educated decisions
