Job summary

Autism Services is seeking a Grain Accountant in Canada to handle weekly and monthly transaction recording, inventory tracking, and financial reporting within our ERP system. The role requires college-level accounting coursework and strong attention to detail.

Experience in accounting/finance is preferred, with knowledge of agricultural operations considered an asset. The candidate will participate in GST/PST/WCB filings and government reporting, with opportunities in a growing agricultural

Responsibilities

• Weekly transaction recording; ensure company expenses and incomes are recorded in ERP on a weekly and monthly basis; manage accounts payable and receivable.
• Weekly inventory recording; ensure scale tickets, grain receipts and settlements are up to date daily.
• Preparation of sub-ledgers and journals; general ledger; bank reconciliation for accounts.
• Monthly financial reporting; monthly statements (P&L, balance sheet, cash flow); department reports.
• Filing with government agencies (GST, PST, WCB, CGC, levy) monthly/quarterly/annually; tax returns; grain settlements.
• Other duties; currency exchange; funding applications with provincial, federal and international organizations; ERP/AI support.

We are searching for result driven Grain Accountant with experience in Agricultural sector. This is a full time, permanent position and previous 1-2 years experience in Accounting/ Finance sector would be an asset.

Your role:

• 1. Weekly transaction recording Will ensure that all of company expenses and incomes are correctly recorded in our ERP software on a weekly and monthly basis as determined by companys needs. Account payable and account receivable
• 2. Weekly inventory recording. Will ensure scale tickets, grain receipts and grain settlements are UpToDate on a daily basis.
• 3. Preparation of Sub-ledgers and Journals General ledger Bank reconciliation for Account(s)
• 4. Preparation of Financial Reports Monthly financial report Individual contract report Cash flow statement Monthly balance sheet Monthly Income Statement (Profit and Loss)
• 5. Monthly, quarterly, yearly filling with government agencies (Federal and Provincial) GST PST WCB CGC Levy reports Annual return T2 Tax return Grain Settlements
• 6. Other duties Currency exchange Support funding application process with provincial, federal and international organizations Administration support EDC/ Coface Risk Analysis for new buyers Engaged with ERP Software and AI
