Job summary

G3 Canada Limited is seeking a Farm Business Representative (Level 2) to manage grain procurement and customer relationships within an assigned marketing zone. You will execute sales and marketing activities and support procurement and business objectives.

The role requires strong knowledge of grain buying, proficiency in Excel/Word/Outlook, and the ability to learn Microsoft Dynamics and G3 contracting software. A post-secondary agriculture credential is preferred.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture or related field.
• At least five years of experience in sales, business development, CRM, grain buying, or related areas.
• Demonstrated knowledge of grain buying and handling processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Ability to learn and use new business systems, including Microsoft Dynamics and G3’s contracting software.

Responsibilities

• Identify priority customers and carry out the CRM strategy for the marketing zone.
• Support customer retention by providing timely, consistent service during contracting and transactions.
• Collaborate with terminal and head office teams to resolve service issues.
• Monitor competitor programs, services, and prices and provide recommendations.
• Follow contract sign-up, changes, and cancellations to limit financial risk.
• Enter contracts into systems and maintain accurate contract status.
• Maintain customer records and promote G3 programs and cash bids.

Job Title: Farm Business Representative (Level 2)

The Farm Business Representative (Level 2) is responsible for grain procurement and customer relationship management within an assigned marketing zone. The role executes sales and marketing activities, develops and maintains customer relationships, and supports the achievement of procurement and business objectives.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Identify priority customers and prospective customers according to corporate standards and carry out the customer relationship management strategy for the marketing zone, including customer contact plans and marketing campaigns.
• Support customer retention by providing positive, timely and consistent service during contracting, deliveries, financial transactions, and other customer interactions.
• Work with terminal and head office employees to respond to customer needs and resolve service issues.
• Monitor competitor programs, services, and prices, and provide relevant information and recommendations to G3 management and trading teams.
• Follow established processes for contract sign-up, changes, and cancellations to limit financial risk.
• Support customers in meeting their G3 contract obligations and address contract exceptions in accordance with company policies and procedures.
• Enter contracts into corporate systems promptly and maintain accurate, current information about contract status.
• Maintain customer records, including contact information, preferences, and contact history.
• Promote G3 programs and cash bids to customers to support the terminal’s budget goals.
• Monitor and manage position limits according to established requirements.
• Follow the requirements of G3’s Food Safety Quality Management System (FSQMS).

PROFESSIONAL QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:

• Post-secondary degree or diploma in Agriculture or a related field.
• At least five years of experience in sales, business development, customer relationship management, grain buying, agricultural sales, or a related area.
• Demonstrated knowledge of grain buying and handling processes.
• Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.
• Demonstrated ability to learn and use new business systems, including Microsoft Dynamics and G3’s grain contracting software.
