Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years’ experience operating a grain elevator.
• Thorough knowledge of the grain industry including grading factors, elevator equipment and processes.
• Practical knowledge in mechanical repair.
• Experience in team management or supervision, demonstrating effective leadership abilities.
• Proficient computer skills with aptitude for learning new software.

Responsibilities

• Supervising the daily operation of the elevator.
• Managing quality control and blending of grain.
• Supervising Facility Assistants to ensure business needs are executed safely, efficiently and profitably.
• Managing the facility safety program and actively working to create a strong safety culture.
• Overseeing food safety compliance.
• Managing regular maintenance, scheduling and repair on facility equipment.
• Supporting the procurement of grain and sales of crop inputs.
• Ensure reasonable business practices are followed consistently.
