Job summary

Rural Municipality of Tecumseh No. 65 is seeking a full-time Grader/General Operator to maintain municipal roads and support public works. The role involves operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment to perform seasonal tasks and ensure safe road conditions.

The candidate should have experience with heavy equipment, a valid Class 5 licence, and a mechanical aptitude. Willingness to work independently or as part of a team is essential; overtime and emergency response are required.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment.
• Valid Class 5 driver's licence; Class 1A is an asset but not required.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team with good communication.
• Willingness to overtime and respond to emergencies, including evenings and weekends.
• Duties include road maintenance and operation of equipment as directed by council.

RM of TECUMSEH #65 Grader/ General Operator
The RM of Tecumseh #65 is currently accepting applications for the position of a Full time, Grader/General operator.

Qualifications

• Experience operating a motor grader and other heavy equipment is preferred.
• Valid Class 5 drivers licence
• Class 1A drivers licence is not mandatory but considered an asset
• Mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine equipment maintenance.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to work overtime and respond to emergencies, including evenings and weekends when required.
• Duties may include but not limited to the operation of a motor grader, tractor and mower, other heavy equipment, dust control application, signage and shop & equipment maintenance and assisting with road maintenance and other public works duties as required. Additional duties added as seasons changes or projects arise and as directed by council through the foreman.
• Salary will be based on experience and qualifications. The RM offers competitive wages with an attractive benefits package.
