Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic Schools is seeking a temporary Grade 1 teacher for St. Anne Catholic School in Fort McMurray, starting immediately through June 28, 2027 (with possible extension).

This full-time position requires Alberta Teacher Certification and a Bachelor of Education, with responsibilities including planning instruction, meeting student needs, evaluating progress, and collaborating with parents and staff.

Qualifications

• Must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree.
• Experience collaborating with parents and staff is valued.

Location: St. Anne Catholic School
Start Date: Immediately to June 28 2027
Closing Date: Open Until Filled

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking a temporary (1.0 FTE)full-time Grade 1teacher starting as soon as available until June 28 2027 (may be extended) at St. Anne Catholic School.

Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:

• identify students’ individual and collective learning needs
• plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
• provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
• help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• meet with parents
• evaluate and communicate student progress
• prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
• meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
• volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
• attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.
