Job summary

The Fort McMurray Catholic School Division is seeking a passionate and industry-experienced Culinary Arts Teacher (1.0 FTE) to lead the CTS Foods and Commercial Cooking program at Holy Trinity Catholic High School beginning November 16, 2026, for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school year.

Applicants should hold Alberta Teaching Certification (or be eligible) and an Alberta Journeyman Cook Certification (or Red Seal equivalent) is preferred, with valid Food Safety and First Aid/CPR credentials.

Qualifications

• Alberta Teaching Certificate; or must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree.
• Alberta Journeyman Cook Certification (or interprovencial Red Seal equivalent) is preferred.
• Valid Food Safety Certification (Alberta Health Services).
• Standard First Aid/CPR.

Responsibilities

• Identify students' individual and collective learning needs.
• Plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs.
• Provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop his or her potential.
• Help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• Meet with parents.
• Evaluate and communicate student progress.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help.
• Meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress.
• Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities.
• Attend meetings, seminars and in-service training sessions.

This position will be at Holy Trinity Catholic High School starting November 16, 2026, for the remainder of the 2026-2027 school calendar year.

Duties of teachers may include but not limited to, the following:

What you bring
