Job summary

Fort McMurray Catholic School Division is seeking qualified teachers for kindergarten through grade 12 for potential positions in the 2026-2027 school year. Successful candidates will plan and deliver instruction, address diverse learning needs and collaborate with parents and staff.

We offer Alberta Blue Cross, Health Spending Account, life & Disability Insurance, and a Fort McMurray Allowance of $1,040 per month. Applicants must hold a BEd and be eligible for Alberta certification.

Qualifications

• We must be eligible for Alberta Teacher Certification and hold a Bachelor of Education Degree.

Responsibilities

• Identify students’ individual and collective learning needs.

• Help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• Meet with parents to discuss progress and plans.
• Evaluate and communicate student progress to families and administrators.
• Prepare and implement remedial programs for students needing extra help.
• Collaborate with other professionals on student needs and progress.
• Volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities; attend meetings and trainings.

Job description

The Fort McMurray Roman Catholic Separate School Division is seeking the interest of teachers kindergarten to grade 12 including specializing in math, sciences, CTS and humanities for potential positions in the 2026-2027 school year.

Duties of Elementary School teachers may include but, not limited to, the following:

• identify students’ individual and collective learning needs
• plan and deliver instruction based on student learning needs and special needs
• provide a stimulating learning environment in which each student can experience growth and develop to his or her potential
• help students learn appropriate knowledge, skills and attitudes.
• meet with parents
• evaluate and communicate student progress
• prepare and implement remedial programs for students requiring extra help
• meet with other professionals to discuss individual student needs and progress
• volunteer to supervise extracurricular and after-school activities
• attend meetings, seminars, and in-service training sessions.
