Job summary

Halton Police Board seeks a Board Compliance Manager to safeguard regulatory alignment, HR compliance, and statutory integrity for the board. The role involves auditing policies, supporting bargaining cycles, and maintaining audit readiness in collaboration with senior leadership.

The successful candidate will bring strong analytical judgment, discretion, and experience with CSPA/MFIPPA and OHRC, applying governance best practices across board operations and records management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Law, Public Policy or Public Administration.
• 5–7 years of compliance or HR policy experience in public sector or regulated env.
• Experience with unionized environments and collective bargaining processes.
• Knowledge of CSPA, MFIPPA, OHRC and privacy/records legislation.
• Analytical, discrete, and capable of advising senior leadership.

Responsibilities

• Audit board bylaws, policy registers, and sub‑committees for regulatory alignment.
• Assist in labour relations and track collective bargaining cycles.
• Coordinate Inspector General liaison and ensure audit readiness.
• Oversee HR data privacy, disciplinary data, and trend reporting.
• Manage MFIPPA responses and FOI requests for board records.
• Supervise board staff on compliance workflows and data security.
