Manulife Financial Corporation is hiring a Governance Analyst to strengthen governance, risk, and control practices across Global Architecture & Engineering. You will collaborate with leaders, risk partners, and SMEs to shape governance, risk management, and regulatory commitments.

Responsibilities include overseeing risks and controls, driving process improvements, preparing executive-level reports, and supporting audits and governance reviews.

Qualifications

• Three to five years of experience in governance, risk management, controls, audit, compliance, operational risk, or related function.
• Strong analytical and critical-thinking skills with ability to assess holistically and identify root causes, gaps, and risks.
• Experience working with senior leaders and cross-functional stakeholders in complex environments.
• Ability to synthesize information from multiple sources into actionable insights and recommendations.
• Strong communication, facilitation, and stakeholder-management skills.
• Experience supporting governance forums, risk reviews, audits, or remediation programs.
• Balance strategic thinking with execution, accountability, and follow-through.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, SharePoint, and Teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain oversight of A&E risks, controls, corrective actions, audit findings, and regulatory obligations.
• Identify gaps and inconsistencies across risks, controls, and governance processes; propose improvements.
• Drive simplification of governance, risk, and control processes across A&E.
• Partner with risk, compliance, audit, governance, and business stakeholders to align activities and oversight.
• Assess remediation plans and risk commitments to ensure accountability.
• Support audits, governance reviews, and regulatory assessments.
• Develop concise executive reporting on risk, control, and governance matters.
• Translate complex information into actionable leadership insights.
• Identify trends and systemic risks affecting A&E; communicate effectively.
• Support governance forums and leadership risk discussions.
• Drive continuous improvement of governance practices and tools.
