Job summary

Manulife is seeking an experienced Senior Manager, Data Risk Oversight to build frameworks and tools for enterprise-wide data risk oversight. You will challenge systemic data risks and influence senior leaders to strengthen risk posture across AI, data, and emerging tech.

The role works within Global Risk Management, coordinating with Privacy, Legal, and Compliance, and requires strong governance, communication, and bilingual capabilities.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of experience in data risk, governance, privacy, or related risk domains.
• Experience designing data risk frameworks and oversight tools in regulated industries.
• Strong understanding of data governance, quality, lineage, and privacy.

Responsibilities

• Design and maintain enterprise data risk oversight framework and tools.
• Build oversight templates and assessment approaches for first-line data risk decisions.
• Aggregate and analyze data risk to identify themes and systemic gaps.
• Provide independent challenge of AI and data risk program effectiveness.
• Set enterprise standards for data lifecycle, privacy, and access control.
• Coordinate with Privacy, Legal, and Compliance on data privacy and consent.
