Job summary

OSI Maritime Systems is seeking a qualified Accountant to manage accounting duties for OSI Canada and subsidiaries. You will reconcile ledgers, process payables/receivables, and prepare monthly close with support for auditors.

The role requires 3–5 years of experience and a degree in accounting, with strong Excel and ERP proficiency. Occasional collaboration across global teams is expected.

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree in Accounting and working toward professional designation.
• 3–5 years of accounting experience as described in main responsibilities.
• Solid understanding of GAAP and financial controls.

Responsibilities

• Maintains and reconciles key balance sheet schedules and GL accounts; investigates variances.
• Reviews AP/AR batches, processes payments, and communicates customer payments to stakeholders.
• Submits GST/HST, PST, QST and VAT remittances monthly/quarterly.
• Prepares monthly journal entries, depreciation and payroll-related entries; month-end close.
• Assists with monthly financial reporting and supporting documents for auditors.
• Supports cash flow forecasting and maintains multi-currency rates in Epicor.
• Reviews PO coding and participates in annual inventory counts and related entries.
• Supports other accounting, finance and special projects as required.
