Job summary

Qualifications

• Post-secondary degree with accounting courses and working toward designation.
• 3-5 years' accounting experience as described.
• Knowledge of GAAP, regulatory compliance and policy adherence.
• Ability to handle confidential information and manage financial risks.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and reconcile balance sheet schedules and GL accounts.
• Process AP/AR, payroll, and bank payments; investigate variances.
• Prepare monthly/quarterly tax remittances (GST/HST, PST, QST, VAT).
• Post monthly journal entries including depreciation and accruals.
• Assist with monthly financial reporting and year-end working papers.
• Support cash flow forecasting and multi-currency rates in ERP.
• Participate in inventory counts and procurement reconciliation.
• Contribute to special accounting projects as required.
