Job summary

Fuze HR Solutions is seeking a Glass Processing Screener Operator in Waterdown, ON for a temporary assignment. You will safely operate screening equipment, monitor material flow, conduct quality checks, and report issues to supervision.

The role requires forklift experience, comfort with dusty, loud industrial environments, and the ability to work independently with safety as a priority.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience operating screening or industrial processing equipment.
• Experience in glass processing, glass manufacturing, or recycling is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Safely operate screening equipment according to established procedures.
• Monitor material feed, product flow, screen performance, and equipment operation.
• Monitor equipment for abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, or material buildup.
• Perform routine material sampling and quality checks.
• Identify and report off-specification material.
• Record production quantities, downtime, screen changes, and other production information.
• Perform equipment cleaning and assist with screen changes.
• Check equipment and the surrounding area before starting operation.
• Follow all Health & Safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Report equipment defects, spills, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor.
• Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Glass Processing Screener Operator – $25/hr

Location: Waterdown, ON
Pay Rate: $25.00/hour
Shift- Day Shift- 7:30am-4pm
Job Type: Temporary – approximately 1–3 months

Job Summary

We are hiring an experienced Screener Operator for a glass processing environment. The successful candidate will safely operate and monitor screening equipment, maintain material flow, perform quality checks, and identify equipment or process issues.

Key Responsibilities

• Safely operate screening equipment according to established procedures
• Monitor material feed, product flow, screen performance, and equipment operation
• Monitor equipment for abnormal noise, vibration, temperature, or material buildup
• Perform routine material sampling and quality checks
• Identify and report off-specification material
• Operate a counterbalance forklift to move materials and finished product
• Record production quantities, downtime, screen changes, and other production information
• Perform equipment cleaning and assist with screen changes
• Check equipment and the surrounding area before starting operation
• Follow all Health & Safety, PPE, and lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures
• Report equipment defects, spills, hazards, or unsafe conditions to the Supervisor
• Maintain a clean and safe work area

Requirements

• Hands-on experience operating screening or industrial processing equipment – required
• Experience in glass processing, glass manufacturing, or recycling is strongly preferred
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to recognize abnormal equipment operation
• Counterbalance forklift experience/certification
• Comfortable working around dust, noise, moving equipment, and industrial conditions
• Physically able to perform equipment cleaning and screen changes
• Reliable, safety-focused, and able to work independently
