Makivvik is seeking a Gladue Program Manager to oversee a team of Gladue Writers and coordinate with defense lawyers, Crown Attorneys and judges to ensure timely completion of reports. The role reports to the Assistant Director of the Justice Division, President’s Department, and requires travel to sites across Nunavik and beyond, while upholding Inuit culture and community resources.
Ideal candidates will have a high school diploma or relevant experience, strong bilingual abilities in Inuktitut

The Gladue Program Manager aims to manage the high demands of Gladue reports requested by the court. Ensures a smooth process of assigning a Gladue Writer a new client and ensuring the reports are completed in a timely fashion. Plans for the Writers to obtain occasional training to stay up to date with all Gladue Principals. Works in close collaboration with both Defense lawyers and Crown Attorneys to ensure a smooth flow of information. Acts as a primary advocate in promoting the Gladue Program.
