Job summary

The City of Delta is seeking a full-time Mapping Technician to join our Information Services Department. You will prepare and maintain municipal base, legal, and utility servicing maps using AutoCAD Map 3D and ESRI GIS tools, and handle non-spatial data.

As a QA/QC reviewer, you will ensure spatial accuracy and data quality in line with CAD/GIS standards, collaborating with internal staff and external partners across multiple projects.

Qualifications

• 1 year mapping technician experience in a municipal setting.
• Municipal experience is an asset.
• GIS certification from a recognised IT institute.
• Valid BC Class 5 driver's license required.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain municipal base, legal, and utility maps.
• Record and compute non-spatial data using AutoCAD and GIS.
• QA/QC reviewer of drawings and engineering assets.
• Ensure data quality per CAD/GIS standards and procedures.
