Job summary

CareRx Corporation is seeking a Registered Pharmacy Technician to join our Pharmacy team supporting a group of LTC Homes and Retirement Communities. You will assist the Staff Pharmacist with prescription preparation, packaging and distribution while ensuring accuracy and compliance across multiple facilities.

Qualifications

• Registered and in good standing with the College of Pharmacists of British Columbia (RPhT).
• Knowledge of KROLL Pharmacy systems in a long-term care setting is a strong asset.
• Retail/Community/ Long Term Care Pharmacy experience strongly preferred.
• Demonstrated computer or work processing skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist the Staff Pharmacist with the preparation, packaging and distribution of patient prescriptions.
• Ensure that all prescriptions are complete and authentic.
• Gather and ensure completeness of all necessary information.
• Confirm data entry accuracy in eMAR and Kroll.
• Confirm accuracy of pharmaceutical products and ensure final checks are completed for accuracy prior to their release.
• Ensuring accurate documentation, maintaining confidentiality, adhering to ethical standards, and contributing to a clean pharmacy environment.
• Other duties as assigned
