AgeCare James Bay is seeking a Registered Nurse to collaborate with the Director of Care in delivering resident care within your competency. The RN will provide safe, ethical nursing services and promote a culture of respect, teamwork and safety for residents and families.

The role emphasizes leadership on shift, accurate documentation, timely processing of physician orders and adherence to provincial standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Nursing is required.
• Registration in good standing with provincial registry is required.
• Knowledge of provincial nursing standards and health acts is expected.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate nursing and other services for residents within the neighbourhood.
• Lead shift report with the health care team to inform changes in residents’ status.
• Record significant changes and ensure chart documentation meets policy and standards.
• Review and process physician orders promptly and communicate issues to leadership.
