Job summary

KGS Group's Winnipeg office is seeking an Engineering Aide to join our Geotechnical team. This role offers meaningful, hands-on experience in a professional engineering consulting environment, working alongside experienced engineers, technologists and project managers.

You will gain exposure to real-world projects, participate in field assignments and site visits, assist with report preparation and multidisciplinary collaboration, and develop technical, professional and interpersonal skills

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a Civil Engineering or related Engineering Technology program.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated initiative and willingness to learn.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Commitment to quality and continuous learning.
  • Valid driver’s licence and access to a vehicle, if required.
  • Ability to travel or participate in field assignments, if required.

Responsibilities

  • Support engineers, technologists and project managers on projects.
  • Participate in project work, technical reviews and engineering analysis as needed.
  • Assist with field assignments, site visits and report preparation.
  • Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams and learn professional practices.

The Role

We are looking for an Engineering Aide to join our Geotechnical team in our Winnipeg office.

This position is designed to provide meaningful, hands‑on experience in a professional engineering consulting environment. Working alongside experienced engineers, technologists and project managers, you will gain exposure to a variety of projects while developing technical, professional and interpersonal skills.

Students may have opportunities to participate in project work, technical reviews, engineering analysis, field assignments, site visits, report preparation and multidisciplinary collaboration depending on project requirements and business needs.
