Job summary

Geotech Drilling is seeking a drilling support team member to assist drillers, handle gear, manage inventory, and support field operations across western Canada. The role requires maintaining equipment, safe handling of materials, and collaboration with the crew in remote conditions. A valid licence and pre-employment drug tests are required, with 1–3 years of geotechnical or environmental drilling experience preferred.

Qualifications

• Valid driver's licence (Class 5 or 3) required.
• 1–3 years drilling experience is an asset.
• Ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment is an asset.
• Pre-employment drug & alcohol test required.
• Experience working in remote locations and varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials.
• Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
• Maintain and organize inventory of materials and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the Driller, client and team members as required.
• Perform regular lifts of 50-90 lbs.

Key Responsibilities

• Continuously prepare and supply the driller with tooling and materials necessary to maintain the drilling operations.
• Handle drill rods and casing, core tubes and core samples.
• Maintain and organize appropriate inventory levels of necessary materials, supplies and tooling for the drill rig and support vehicles.
• Assist the Driller, client and other team members where required.
• Regular and repetitive lifts of 50-90 lbs.
  

Professional Experience / Qualifications

• Must maintain and possess a valid Class 5 or 3 Driver's Licence.
• Have 1-3 years experience in geotechnical or environmental drilling is an asset.
• Have the mechanical ability to troubleshoot and repair small equipment an asset.
• Complete and pass a pre-employment drug & alcohol test.
• Have experience working in the field, in remote and/or varied weather conditions for extended periods of time.

Compensation

$23.00 - $26.00 per hour based on experience and qualifications.
