Job summary

Winpak is seeking a General Warehouse associate to support receiving, storage, picking, packing, and shipping on a 100% onsite production floor in the Murray Industrial Park region. The role emphasizes safe forklift use, inventory entry, and teamwork within a manufacturing environment.

Ideal candidates have a Grade 12, 1+ year warehouse experience, and a forklift license with proven safe operation of electric forklifts and pallet transporters.

Qualifications

  • Grade 12 diploma or equivalent.
  • 1+ years experience in a distribution/warehouse environment.
  • Certified forklift license; demonstrated ability and experience in the safe operation of electric forklifts and pallet transporters.
  • Proficient in the entry of computerized inventory.
  • Ability to work within a team environment or independently.

Responsibilities

  • Receive and process finished goods from the production unit and place for final disposition such as storage and/or shipping.
  • Store materials through physical placement and location identification in designated storage areas.
  • Pick orders, attach labels, palletize picked goods, stretch wrap pallets, weigh material for shipment, check picked orders for correctness, and stage picked orders for shipment.
  • Record order picked information on picklists as required in support of the update function.
  • Sort and stage pallets to be shipped in planned loading sequence and assist Truck Loader.
  • Perform daily housekeeping activities to support a clean warehouse and environment, and complete checklist when assigned.
  • Complete weekly safety inspections when assigned.
  • Preform pre-shift equipment inspections.
  • Promote teamwork, cooperation, and effective communication within the department and Company. Interact with all levels of the operation in support of Winpak’s TQI program.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Additional Details
  • The General Warehouse position is 100% onsite, working on the production floor.
  • We are located in Murray Industrial Park. There are limited bus services to this location.
