Vancouver Honda is currently seeking to fill the position of General Sales Manager.

  1. Guide all salespersons and sales managers in setting their objectives on a long- and short-term basis.
  2. Direct sales managers to set sales and gross objectives for new vehicle sales staff.
  3. Assist the Regional General Manager in forecasting controllable expense elements for both the Variable and Fixed Departments.
  4. Communicate with sales managers to ensure understanding of dealership policies and procedures.
  5. Follow and enforce all company policies, procedures, and processes.
  6. Review quarterly reports on the gross performance of new vehicle sales staff with sales managers.
  7. Assist in developing improvement programs for the sales department to meet their objectives.
  8. Conduct daily and weekly sales training meetings as directed by the Regional General Manager.
  9. Oversee efforts to enhance the dealership's image.
  10. Ensure Product Knowledge is maintained at a high level.
  11. Ensure that the New Vehicle Delivery process is followed closely.
  12. Review the handling of incoming sales calls.
  13. Keep an accurate account of floor traffic.
  14. Attend Managers’ meetings as required.
  15. Serve as liaison with factory representatives.

All successful applicants must possess the following qualities:

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience as a Sales Manager or General Sales Manager in an Automotive Dealership.
  2. Superior management, leadership, and customer service skills.
  3. Ability to promptly and professionally handle and resolve customer issues or concerns.
  4. Maintain high standards for vehicle delivery to customers.
  5. Ensure sales representatives understand and follow dealership policies at all times.
  6. Excellent communication skills; effective communication with customers, subordinates, and management.
  7. Highly organized and self-motivated.
  8. Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment to achieve common goals.
  9. Experience with internet and retail tools, including 180 and ADP.
  10. Valid VSA License is required.
