Job summary

Tolko’s North Okanagan Valley operation near Vernon, BC is hiring General Production Employees. This entry-level role offers comprehensive training and a path into a high-performance team producing lumber.

You’ll work rotating 8-hour shifts, including evenings and graveyards, and gain exposure to industrial operations with safety and efficiency at the core. We value commitment to safety, strong communication, and the ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated commitment to working safely.
• Strong communication & interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work 8-hour shifts, including evenings and graveyards.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision.
• Previous experience working in an industrial environment is an asset.
• Previous experience operating a forklift or loader is an asset.

Responsibilities

• Work independently as part of a high-performance team dedicated safely and efficiently producing lumber products.
• Perform a variety of labour duties to increase productivity and reduce safety risks.
• Identify, analyze and troubleshoot any problems that might arise in your area.
• Work with your Team Lead and Maintenance teams to make sure everything stays on track.
• Work a rotating 8-hour shift schedule, which gives you flexibility to spend extra time with your family on days off.

General Production employees are the backbone of our mills. They make sure weproduce products safely and efficiently, creating the materials that build homes and dreams. No experience? No problem! We can start you in an entry level role where we provideall the training you need to succeed. We’re looking for a General Production Employee to join our innovative lumber mill located near Vernon, British Columbia. Our Lavington Division is where Tolko’s story began over 70 years ago. Today, at Lavington, we safely and sustainably produce 238 million board feet of lumber per year for customers around the world so they can build their homes and their communities. Our ideal candidate has the following qualifications:

• Demonstratedcommitment to working safely.
