Job summary

The Burger’s Priest in Waterloo is seeking a General Manager to lead our team at the King St S location. You will train and coach staff, set expectations, and manage daily operations with a focus on guest satisfaction.

You’ll handle scheduling, inventory, cash handling, and ensure profitable results while maintaining a fast-paced, fun work environment. Previous leadership in hospitality and a Food Handler certification are preferred; mixed shifts include evenings and weekends.

Qualifications

• Minimum two–three years’ experience leading a team.
• Friendly and enthusiastic about everything you do.
• Passionate about food and providing only the best guest experiences.
• Food Handler Certification or willing to certify.
• Available for mixed shifts including evenings, weekends and holidays.
• Works well in a team setting but can complete tasks independently as needed.
• Ability to maintain composure in a fast-paced environment.
• Well organized with the ability to multitask.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to stand for long periods of time and work in a hot environment.

Responsibilities

• Train and coach the team to provide ABSOLUTE service.
• Set clear expectations and follow up with your team on a regular basis.
• Take direction and feedback from the Senior Management team.
• Open and close the restaurant independently (key holder).
• Reconcile cash deposits.
• Place orders and perform inventory counts.
• Address customer concerns ensuring that each guest leaves satisfied.
• Able to attract, interview and hire employees and build a strong team.
• Understand food costing.
• Can accurately schedule employees while achieving labour targets.
• Responsible for P&L results.
