Bramalea Retirement Residence is seeking a General Manager to lead operations, financial management, regulatory compliance and resident well-being.

Reporting to the Executive Leadership, you will drive sales strategy, optimize occupancy, coach staff, and foster a culture of excellence in service delivery.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years in progressive leadership roles in the industry.
• Sales/Marketing experience.
• Strong financial skills.
• Excellent English communication (written and spoken).
• Excellent computer skills and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of exceptional resident service through day-to-day management and strategic growth.
• Lead overall operation including financial targets and regulatory compliance.

Salary Range: $95,000 - $110,000 (+incentive plan, vacation and benefits)

The compensation range listed reflects the expected hiring range for this position. However, candidates with significant or directly related experience, specialized skills, or advanced qualifications may be considered for compensation above the posted range

Reporting directly to the Executive Leadership of Lev Senior Living, this senior leadership role, is responsible for the overall success and operation of the business. This role is accountable for all areas of the operation from financial management, regulatory compliance, and resident well-being. The General Manager understands the importance of leading by example, is an exceptional problem solver and is passionate about achieving success through results. In the role of General Manager, you will drive organizational success through strong communication and interpersonal skills. You will be responsible for building trusted relationships to drive positive results by empowering an effective sales strategy, fostering team cohesion, and inspiring a culture of excellence in service delivery and accountability.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure the delivery of exceptional customer service for residents, through day to day management and strategic growth.
• Provide the highest level of care to all residents, ensuring systems and processes are maintained.
• Engage all staff members and empower your managers to lead their teams, setting them up to succeed.
• Manage the annual budget to meet financial targets.
• Engage with the local community to support sales and high occupancy rates.
• Resolve the requests and concerns of residents and their families when required.
• Manage employee relations with unionized employees, including negotiations of Collective Agreements.
• Assist managers in hiring, training, guiding, supporting and disciplining all employees.
• Models and promotes a positive team spirit, with a warm and inviting environment.
• Familiar with coordinating in-house community care programs
