The General Manager is responsible for ensuring seamless gym operations, delivering an exceptional member experience, and maintaining financial success. This leadership role involves motivating and leading a team, with a focus on continuous training and development.
Responsibilities
- Foster a welcoming, friendly environment for members
- Source, interview, and hire team members, building strong, cohesive teams
- Manage team schedules and responsibilities for smooth operations
- Oversee and maintain training standards, coaching team members to improve sales performance
- Develop and coach staff, providing training on policies and practices
- Conduct staff meetings, set goals, and motivate the team around objectives
- Drive business profitability and inspire achievement of targets
- Ensure member concerns are addressed promptly to promote retention
- Monitor staff performance and KPI standards
- Maintain a clean, well-equipped facility
- Manage payroll and staffing levels
- Possess comprehensive knowledge of offerings, amenities, and equipment
- Ensure compliance with policies and maintain operational accuracy
- Monitor inventory and ensure timely restocking
