Job summary

Superior-Cabinets is seeking a Maintenance Technician to ensure reliable machinery operation and drive continuous improvement. The role reports to the Maintenance Manager and focuses on preventive maintenance, rapid breakdown response, and alignment/calibration of CNC and non-CNC equipment.

Key responsibilities include diagnosing faults, reading diagrams and schematics, and collaborating with production teams to minimize downtime while maintaining safety standards and quality.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability to analyze problems and implement timely solutions.
  • Strong reading of diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Experience in a production environment and strong organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment per CMMS work orders.
  • Identify potential breakdowns through inspections and monitoring.
  • Respond quickly to equipment breakdowns and restore production.
  • Address safety hazards and ensure safe operation of equipment.
  • Align and recalibrate CNC and non-CNC equipment as needed.
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors and staff.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Perform any other tasks as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.

Job description

We are currently in search of one Maintenance Technician. Reporting to our Maintenance Manager, this position is responsible for ensuring the proper functioning of equipment through preventive maintenance, prompt response to breakdowns, and continuous improvement efforts. Responsibilities in the role are:

  • Perform preventive maintenance on equipment as indicated on CMMS work orders
  • Identify potential or imminent breakdowns through equipment inspections and monitoring
  • React effectively to correct equipment breakdowns
  • Recognize and respond to correct safety hazards
  • Alignment and recalibration of CNC and non-CNC equipment
  • Communicate effectively with production supervisors and personnel
  • Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
  • Any other tasks that may be assigned

  • Certification in industrial mechanics or electrical (with strong mechanical skills) trade
  • Reading and interpreting parts diagrams and electrical schematics
