Interfor is seeking a General Labourer in Timmins to perform production tasks, stack and classify wood, and operate rotating workstations under team leader supervision.

You will verify wood quality, keep your area clean, and support training for less experienced staff while following safety procedures and company standards.

Formación

• SSD completed.
• At least 1 year of experience as a day labourer.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Willing to train on different workstations.
• Strong attention to safety and quality.
• Good manual dexterity and coordination.
• Teamwork and organizational skills.
• Good execution speed and health and safety awareness.

When you join our team as aGeneral Labourer, reporting to the team leader, you will perform various production-related tasks. This posting is for an existing vacancy.

What You’ll Do

• Stack and classify pieces of wood and operate different workstations from a control console on a rotational basis depending on production needs and the workstation.
• Verify the quality of wood in transit and ensure compliance with Interfor’s quality standards.
• Clean your workstation.
• Train less experienced staff as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and protocol.
• Perform any other related duties as requested by your immediate supervisor.

What You Offer

• Completed secondary school diploma (SSD).
• Have at least one (1) year of experience as a day labourer.
• Forklift certification is an asset.
• Must be willing to take training on the different workstations.
• Thoroughness, initiative, sense of responsibility, and independence.
• Good manual dexterity and hand-eye coordination.
• Teamwork and organizational skills.
• Good execution speed and a concern for health and safety.

Additional Information

• Monday to Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm for day shift and from 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 am for night shift.
• Occasional Friday overtime shifts for production needs.
• Benefits: The employer offers group insurance, a pension plan with employer contribution.
• Hourly rate: $30.25
• Shift premium for night/afternoon shifts.
