Job summary

Interfor Corporation in Timmins, Ontario, is seeking a General Labourer to support wood production. You will stack and classify pieces, operate at rotating workstations under a team leader, with both day and night shifts.

The role requires a secondary school diploma (SSD) and at least 1 year of day labour experience. Forklift certification is an asset, and training on different stations will be provided. Interfor offers group insurance and a pension plan.

What You’ll Do

• Stack and classify pieces of wood and operate different workstations from a control console on a rotational basis depending on production needs and the workstation.
• Verify the quality of wood in transit and ensure compliance with Interfor’s quality standards.
• Clean your workstation.
• Train less experienced staff as needed.
• Follow safety procedures and protocol.
• Perform any other related duties as requested by your immediate supervisor.

Additional Information

• Monday to Thursday from 6:00 a.m. to 4:30 pm for day shift and from 5:00 p.m. to 3:30 am for night shift.
• Occasional Friday overtime shifts for production needs.
• Benefits: The employer offers group insurance, a pension plan with employer contribution.
• Hourly rate: $30.25
• Shift premium for night/afternoon shifts.
