Job summary

Interfor is seeking skilled Industrial Millwrights to join our Timmins operation. You will maintain, troubleshoot, and enhance various mill equipment, from conveyors to hydraulic and pneumatic systems, to keep the production line running at peak performance.

The position offers a rate of $42.81 per hour with a Monday to Thursday shift rotation on 10‑hour nights, afternoons and days. Red Seal Millwright or PlanerTechnician certification is required, with sawmill/planer experience considered an

  • Strong safety background is essential.
  • Sawmill/planer experience is an asset.
  • Demonstrated technical, problem‑solving and troubleshooting skills.
  • Mechanical and electrical aptitude is important.

Responsibilities

  • Repair equipment: conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, automated systems, including welding.
  • Identify causes of machinery breakdowns or malfunctions and perform repairs.
  • Install/optimize/adjust all mill equipment to maximize efficiency.
  • Respond to emergencies when mechanical breakdowns affect operations.
  • Operate machining tools to manufacture parts.

Job description

Interfor is looking for skilled, safety‑focused, and motivated Industrial Millwrights to join our team in Timmins. In this role, you’ll play a key part in keeping our mill running at peak performance by maintaining, troubleshooting, and enhancing industrial equipment across the operation.

This position offers competitive compensation at $42.81 per hour and a Monday to Thursday, nights, afternoons and days rotation with 10-hour shifts.

What You’ll Do
  • Repair equipment: conveyors, hydraulic and pneumatic components, automated systems, etc. (including welding);
  • Identify the cause of machinery breakdowns or malfunctions and do the necessary repairs;
  • Install/optimize/adjust all the equipment in the mill to maximize its efficiency;
  • Respond to emergencies when mechanical breakdowns affect operations;
  • Operate machining tools to manufacture parts.
