Job summary

Bevo Farms Ltd in Canada is seeking dedicated General Labour workers to help produce and deliver healthy plants to customers.

This fast-paced greenhouse role is physical work; you will perform tasks on the potting line, lift pots, and load plants while adapting to greenhouse temperatures and long standing periods.

Starting shifts as early as 5:30am; ability to work with minimal supervision and in a team; basic English required; forklift certification is an asset.

Qualifications

• No formal education or prior experience required
• Ability to speak and understand English
• Legally entitled to work in Canada
• Reliable transportation to and from work
• Ability to start working early mornings (5:30am)
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Responsibilities

• Under supervision, perform various physical tasks related to greenhouse operations, including picking and loading plants, plant maintenance, bay cleaning, and assisting in site preparation
• Adhere to all hygiene and safety policies and procedures throughout the facility
• Maintain a positive attitude, a willingness to learn, and a willingness to follow direction
• Other duties as required

Bevo Farms Ltd is the largest supplier of propagated plants in North America, providing greenhouses, field farms, nurseries, and wholesalers across the continent with healthy, vigorous, pest-and-disease-free plants. Bevo operates four facilities in the lower mainland of British Columbia and two facilities in the province of Alberta.

SUMMARY

We are looking for dedicated and hardworking individuals to help produce and deliver healthy plants to our customers.

This is a fast-paced environment where physical work is required. In this role, you will be required to do a range of tasks related to crop care/work. Other duties may include working on the potting line, laying trays, and loading pots onto carts.

To be successful in this role, you must be able to adapt to greenhouse temperatures, be flexible to changing day-to-day tasks, and stand for long periods of time performing repetitive tasks.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Under supervision, perform various physical tasks related to greenhouse operations, including picking and loading plants, plant maintenance, bay cleaning, and assisting in site preparation
